Thoughts

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.
Philippians 4:8

I've been thinking of things that cause stress in my life and my work environment is a biggee. I've been employed at the same company for 24+ years with the ability to move around within through a bid system.

When I first put a bid in for the position I now hold, I was fifth on the list. Fifth is not bad, but I didn't think I'd get it. So, when my previous boss told me my bid had come in, I was very surprised. I don't have a company gossip link so I had no idea what I was getting myself into, but apparently the four bidders before me did.

The old adage "If I knew then what I know now" holds true for this department. If I had known what it was going to be like, I probably would have pulled my bid as soon as I put in for it!

So as the bible verse above suggests, I need to meditate on things that are true, noble, just, pure, lovely and of good report, things that have virtue and are praiseworthy.

That is one of my favorite scripture quotes. And a good reminder for me. Thanks for sharing it.
